Georgia Tech Undergraduates

I am often looking for students interested in exploring oceanography both during the semester and over the summer. Students can come from a variety of backgrounds, but are most likely to succeed with research in our group given strong quantitative background (i.e. through differential equations) and some coding experience.
If you are interested in learning more, please send an email to Dr. Dove (dove@gatech.edu) that includes your CV/resume, information on your background (including previous research, work, or volunteer experience), and your academic interests.
Prospective Graduate Students

I will likely be hiring a Ph.D. student to start in Fall 2026.

Students can apply to the Georgia Tech graduate program in either Earth and Atmospheric Sciences or Ocean Science and Engineering. Students who are accepted to the Ph.D. program will be fully funded with a current stipend of $35,500 a year. This funding will include a mix of fellowships, research assistantships, and teaching assistantships. If you are applying with a fee waiver, I recommend applying at least two weeks early to make sure the waiver is processed.

Georgia Tech Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences participates in the AGU Bridge Program. Applications are due by March 15.

To discuss applying to a Ph.D. in the group, please send an email to Lily that includes your CV, information on your background (including education and previous research experience), your academic interests, and your future career goals.
